Monthly activity falls into three categories tracked by the site: Licences (new grants and removals), Domains (websites added, removed, or switched between active/inactive/white-label status), and Trading Names.
August was a month of contraction rather than growth. Across 18 reporting days, roughly 22 licences were surrendered or lapsed against just 9 new grants — a net loss of around 13. The dominant story sat in the domain register, where operators stripped out white-label sites in bulk: White Hat Gaming pulled four brands offline in a single day, while Grace Media and ProgressPlay continued a months-long clear-out.
Land-based amusements and adult gaming centres kept shedding small operators, and the charity lottery sector was unusually busy.
Month-end brought two possible exits, with BresBet and Bet St George's licences suspended, hence deactivating all listed domains on 31 August.
Biggest single day was 27 August with four departures: JK Gaming Ltd, Librán Rising Ltd, Jamie Edmond Sinclair and Templestowe Hotel Ltd.
Other notable exits:
Small independents — bookmakers, AGCs and machine suppliers — made up the bulk.
Switched off (Active → Inactive)
White label → Inactive
New domains
Reactivated (Inactive → Active)
bookiebase.ie, round4pound.co.uk, casinogo.com, winningkings.co.uk, midnite.com, rollerbet.co.uk — plus mangospins.com moving from white label to fully active.
Delisted entirely
ProgressPlay dropped luv-casino.casino and ckcasino.com; Broadway Gaming Ireland removed dinkybingo.com, pizazzbingo.com and ticketybingo.com.
The white-label unwind. The clearest trend of the month. White Hat Gaming's exit of Karamba, Hopa, Griffon and Bettarget on 27 August is significant — these are established consumer brands, not shell domains. Combined with Grace Media and ProgressPlay's ongoing pruning, the UK white-label model looks to be shrinking meaningfully.
Slow bleed in land-based. Nearly half of August's removals were AGC operators, family entertainment centres and machine suppliers, many holding legacy account numbers in the low thousands. That points to genuine closures rather than corporate restructuring.
Charity lotteries in flux. Dogs Trust arrived and Newcastle Cathedral joined, while Princess Alice Hospice Lottery left. Several hospices and the Fire Fighters Charity added new fulfilment domains, suggesting a shift of platform providers across the sector.
A handful of genuine launches. Midnite going fully live, plus proper.bet, brillbet.co.uk, bettabet.co.uk and casinogo.com, show new remote entrants still coming through — though far fewer than are leaving.
Two to watch. BresBet and Bet St George both went dark on the final day of the month. Worth checking whether licence surrenders follow in September.
With lots of new online casinos launching, we have opted to bring you 4 categories. From there, we highlight the best new online casino per category. This will cover off the best new online casinos for:

Top New Casino for Game Selection
Top New Casino for Fast Payouts
Top Relaunched New Casino
London Bet, which also provides a sportsbook, operates its casino under two guides - a traditional online casino and a live casino. Both follow a similar design and layout.
The casino game lobby is neatly presented with well-sized game tiles, which are responsive to interactions. There are big titles featuring too, with "Gates of Olympus" and "Big Bass", two examples of games known across the industry. Admittedly, London Bet doesn't boast the depth some casinos offer, with only a couple of hundred games but there is no doubting the quality.
With all of that noted, we then come to the standout feature of the casino, and that is the low deposit option. The payment options aren't exhaustive but with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay available it does tick off the most popular methods and, critically, you can deposit from just £1 via any of them. However, please note that if you want to claim a welcome offer, you'll need to deposit at least £10.

Megaways Casino is a 2026 launch but comes backed by the SkillOnNet network meaning that it is not building from a standing start. You can feel that as well.
The site, which sits on an all white background with contrasting black text and gold icons, looks really sleek and operating from A to B is a continuation of that slick design.
That menu guides you through six different headline game areas, including a live casino and a dedicated roulette zone. Something that we checked during our Megaways review is that the game RTP does come in a little below average at 92.5% but that is not the be all and end all for a casino.
Things like the collection of games on offer has to be considered too, and that is an area where Megaways Casino shines bright. It top scores in LyzeScore™ for its game count, boasting more than 8,500 game titles.
With such a large volume of games available, it is important a punter can genuinely explore them all. You can here; there is an excellent game filter, covering pay lines, game volatility, max bets and much more.

Ken Howell's is amongst the number of new online casinos 2025, but is still well worthy of a callout here as it continues to make its mark on the industry. It also stands out when it comes to fast payouts in online casinos.
The brand has a large history behind it, having started out as a track-side operator in the horse racing market. It opted to make the move online in 2025 and, whilst maintaining its sports betting presence, has also added a solid, if unspectacular, casino (read full Ken Howells Casino review) to its offering as well.
Built on the EveryMatrix platform, you are guaranteed a smooth operation. There is a five-option panel running across the bottom of the site, allowing users to hone in on a specific area, including a live casino and promotions. You do have a strong navigation option at the top of the page as well, albeit this is much more targeted, focussing on in-casino choices, like "New Releases" and "Hot Fav's".
Sitting between those two sections is the all-important game lobby. Here you will find in excess of 1,600 games, each positioned in a rectangular game tile. Tiles are twice as wide as they are high, but interaction with the tiles is problem-free.
Last but not least, we come to the payment methods. There are not loads of methods available with debit card and instant bank transfer your only options, however, we have tested Ken Howells withdrawal speed and have received instant payouts. You cannot complain at that.

PlayKasino also receives positive feedback from our experts for its simple game navigation, even though there are currently more than 8,500 games available.
The minimum deposit is £10, and the casino supports the most popular payment methods, including debit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal. There is also an app available for both iOS and Android devices.

With new casinos online emerging all the time, it isn't always straightforward when deciding whether or not to take the plunge with a newcomer. Here we assess the pros and cons attached to betting with brand new online casinos.
Fresh and Modern Design
Attractive Welcome Bonuses
New Ideas
When launching as a new online casino, one of the big advantages a newcomer has over more established brands is the ability to learn from their mistakes. Without insider knowledge, not all of these mistakes will be visible but customer-facing design flaws will be and that means brand new online casinos should be well-positioned to deliver slickly put together sites.
Getting a large welcome bonus at a new online casino isn't guaranteed but it is quite common. The online casino market is highly competitive, which means newcomers sometimes feel the need to "dangle a carrot" to gain customers. Offering an attractive welcome bonus is one way brands can do that.
We've spoken about learning from established bookmaker mistakes and the need for new online casinos to stand out. Both of those can link to a general concept of offering new ideas too.
A mistake can be something an existing brand has implemented badly but, equally, it can be something it has missed or something customers are crying out for.
Then, on the promotion front, offering the "big bucks" is one way to stand out to potential new customers but so is doing something a little different to the crowd.
New online casinos often deliver these fresh perspectives more frequently than established operators.
Potential Technical Issues
Fewer Games Offered
Limited Reviews
A new casino site having technical challenges is probably the biggest risk to customer experience. Sites will be put through fairly robust testing before they enter the market but when you get hundreds and thousands of visitors, it is a stress-test that is hard to replicate in a "test environment".
How painful these technical issues are to users can vary, but be prepared to see minor quirks in the early days of a brand launching and, by association, some minor changes to the platform.
New online casinos UK offering smaller game libraries is not a blanket rule. In fact, some brand new online casinos can boast a range of games that give the biggest and best brands a run for their money, but delivering game depth is a challenge for new market entrants.
In order to offer strong and varied game libraries, brands need to establish relationships with software providers, which can be difficult and, even when they do that well, nailing down specials like exclusive titles can be a bridge too far.
We pride ourselves on conducting in-depth and unbiased reviews of new online casinos, however, we know that not everyone takes that approach. A lot of potential punters might like to cross-reference thoughts of casino sites and associated mobile apps with reviews offered up on App Stores or trusted sites, like TrustPilot, however, these are severely lacking in the early days of a new online casino platform.
We have put over 40 different casino brands through their paces, quite literally, where withdrawals are concerned. Amongst those 40-plus brands are traditional superpowers of the casino market and the new online casinos.
Below, we've captured the new casinos boasting the fastest payouts:
One of the most attractive things new online casinos have going for them is the offer of new and often creative bonuses. Here we highlight some of the best offers from new casinos.

A matched deposit bonus is one of the most widely used promotion by new online casinos.
Your account will be credited with bonus funds that are directly linked to how much you deposit.
Often, you will see 100% matched deposits, which means if you deposit £10, the casino will award you £10 in bonus funds. However, deposit match bonuses are not always at 100%. Other common iterations include 50% (half of your deposit amount as bonus funds) and 200% (double your deposit amount).
Bonus spins - or free spins - are probably the most prevalent casino welcome offer.
Usually, a casino operator may offer free spins as part of a promotion when you deposit and meet certain terms, such as wagering requirements. These spins can then be used on selected games, with any winnings either credited to your cash balance or placed in a bonus balance until the promotion terms have been completed.
As an example, take Megaways Casino. Its current welcome bonus offers 100 free spins when you deposit £10. Free spins are valued at 10p, which means you get £10 worth of free spins when you deposit £10. Note - in this example, your deposit does not have to be wagered before claiming the bonus spins.
Cashback offers are a little different from the other forms of new casino welcome bonus, namely because you have to lose money before the offer is activated.
A cashback offer provides punters with "bonus funds" based on how much they have lost over a defined period of time, typically within X days of making their first deposit.
Ken Howell's welcome offer, for example, pays first day net casino losses back at a rate of 50%, up to a maximum of £25. This means that if you recorded a net loss of £50, Ken Howell's would credit your account with £25 of bonus funds.
One of the main reasons people will land on a certain new online casino over another is down to the games it offers, both in respect of the titles and variety. Here we look at the different types of games you will likely find during your casino journey.
Slot games account for the majority of games offered in online casinos. A bettor can dictate the amount they bet per spin before triggering "the spin". The reels will then tick round, with a random number generator (RNG) determining the end result of the spin.
You can then win through various means, both in direction across paylines and in terms of triggering bonus rounds and multipliers.
The speed of play and ability to hit big wins from small stakes is one of the biggest appeals slots games boast.
Table games take on many forms across new online casinos, with RNG and live casino variants running across roulette, blackjack, baccarat and more.
Regardless of the variation you play, these games are hugely popular with bettors because of the choice element. You have the ability to pick your next move, applying strategy and logic to each play.
Live casino games are wagered on remotely but provide an "in-casino" experience. Tables and games are hosted by a human in a studio with a range of sensors and cameras used to ensure a slick and verified result.
The "real feel" it gives, together with live chat features means that punters gain a more rounded experience, whilst many cite a superior trust in the results because of the live view.
Instant games carry a huge appeal with punters because of their instant result; it's like they are named "Instant Games" for a reason.
With Crash games like Plinko and Hi-Lo card games, you don't have the theatre of spinning reels and dealers bigging up the next play, instead you get an immediate outcome.
Bingo, lotto and scratchcards are digital versions of the more well-trodden traditional variations.
Bingo games see you matching off numbers until someone lands on a winning pattern, lotto is similar but simply about matching the numbers on your ticket, as you do in the lottery. As for scratchcards, it is as it says in the name. You scratch off the card, revealing whether or not you have won.

Despite the many brands in the casino market, some unlicensed operators are still accessible to users. These carry significant risks and offer little to no protection. It is always safer to play on new online casinos that are licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
Also, with many websites and influencers promoting online casinos in the UK market, it is wise to rely on a reputable comparison site that reviews the latest launches and verifies licensing details. Choosing properly checked operators can help you make safer and more informed decisions.
It can be easy to be wowed by brand new online casinos, however, it is important to practice safer gambling as well. Where offered, we'd always encourage you to utilise the responsible gambling tools available from the casinos themselves.
If these support tools are lacking at a new casino, or if they're simply not doing enough for you there are alternative options for you to consider.
GambleAware is one standalone third-party platform that provides a host of tools you can use, ranging from spend calculators through to a 24/7 support line, whilst GAMSTOP is another of note. You can use GAMSTOP to block yourself from online gambling.
