Casinolyze Exclusive: Casimba Gaming on Trust, Tax and Player Loyalty

We sat down with Brendon Mossop, a director of Performance Marketing at Casimba Gaming. The group is a global gaming operator of over 10 brands in the UK.

Can you tell us about your site? What is it that players can look forward to when choosing your brand over other robust operators or brand new sites? 

At Casimba Gaming, our reputation has been built over 10 years on trust, not just headline offers. Newer sites can match a welcome bonus, but they can't match a track record of paying out promptly, listening to player feedback, and sticking around when the market gets tougher.

What players can look forward to is a stable, well-run site with a game library shaped by what our players actually want, a support team that knows our regulars, and responsible gambling tools built in from day one rather than bolted on.

For us, that history and consistency is the product. 

With the 40% Remote Gaming Duty, where are you absorbing the cost? Are you lowering game RTPs, cutting back on player bonuses, or just accepting lower margins? 

The rise in Remote Gaming Duty to 40% from April 2026 is a genuine step change for the sector, and we're not going to pretend it has no impact. Our approach has been to absorb the cost primarily through operational efficiency, tightening our cost base and being more disciplined about marketing spend, rather than through changes players would feel directly at the table.

Protecting game RTPs and the value of our promotions remains a priority as far as commercially possible, because player experience is what keeps people with us long term.

That said, no operator is immune to margin pressure, and like the rest of the industry we're having to think harder about where we invest, particularly acquisition marketing versus rewarding existing players. 

As an established brand, you already have massive, historical databases and have achieved brand recognition to a certain degree in the market. What is the next stage for your brand? Are you exploiting options to increase market share, focusing on player retention or something else?

We're firmly in a retention and loyalty phase. Having built a large, established player base, the priority now is depth over breadth, understanding what our regulars value and tailoring the experience to that, rather than chasing sign-ups at any cost.

That means smarter use of player data to personalise offers and communications, strengthening our loyalty programmes, and investing in support and responsible gambling tools that make players feel genuinely looked after.

We're not walking away from growth, but in a market where acquisition costs keep climbing and regulation keeps tightening, the operators who win long term will be the ones who keep the players they already have. 

Most operators have now installed AI chatbots, but aside from that, how is your brand integrating AI directly into the sportsbook or casino product? Any new features such as hyper-personalised lobbies, real-time risk management and automated live trading, or something else? 

Beyond chatbots, AI is doing quiet work behind the scenes, mostly in service of player safety and personalisation. We use it to help spot signs of at-risk play earlier and more consistently than manual monitoring alone, which feeds directly into our responsible gambling programme.

On personalisation, we're using data-driven tools to shape lobbies and offers around what individual players actually enjoy rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

We're deliberate about where AI adds real value to the player experience versus where it's just a buzzword, our focus is on applications that make play safer and more relevant, not necessarily the flashiest features. 

Anything else you want to tell your players? 

Just that we don't take player loyalty for granted.

The market is changing fast; Regulation, tax and player expectations are all shifting at once, and through it our commitment stays the same: fair games, honest communication, and support when players need it, including stepping in to help someone play more safely if that's what's needed.
